The city known for its ancient heritage and stunning historical architecture and monuments that depict the various cultures is also valiant in higher education. The All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2017-18 states that Rajasthan is one of the top 8 states that have the highest number of colleges in India, with 635 colleges in Jaipur alone. The state has 1 central university, 4 institutions of national importance, 22 state public universities, 1 state open university, 42 state private universities, 8 private deemed to be universities, 8 medical institutions, 6 technical institutions etc.
Out of all the universities present in the state, 4 universities are exclusive for women. Further, Rajasthan is at the fourth position with 3203 Colleges and 36 Colleges per lakh population. It is also one of the top 6 states with highest student enrolments in the nation.
Rajasthan has such robust system of education, and is ranked at the 4th position in India Skills Report 2019 under the top 10 states with highest employability. Delving into the gender-wise employability quotient, Rajasthan is one of the 10 states with respect to a better male and female ratios. Having all such positives, the state of Rajasthan is poised to scale up the employability and skill ladder. In this context, the State has recently collaborated with ICT Academy. Initially, two higher educational institutions in the pink city Jaipur have signed the membership pact with ICT Academy; the details are as follows:
